Eco-School – education for sustainable development
This is an important aspect of our ethos and a particular feature of what is offered at Mr Noah’s. A sustainable lifestyle is modelled for children. Also, we regularly, explicitly teach and involve children in recycling, conservation, and global citizenship
We keep ducks, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. Children are encouraged to take part in their care. Children are involved in conserving resources and use recycled paper. There is a clear and deliberately eco friendly Procurement Policy.
The children have the opportunity to grow from seed, tend, reap and eat our own vegetables.
Being entirely off grid is a great opportunity for children to better understand global issues of the supply of water, electricity and other fuel.
Mr Noah’s has participated in Kent County Council Education for Sustainable Development award programme. Gaining the award is celebrated in flying the UN global goals flag.
